We grow Spring Barley for the malting market in Scotland. The malt produced from our barley is then used in the production of whisky. At the moment we use three varieties, Golden Promise, Optic and Propino. Optic is an older variety favoured by the distillers for the quality of malt it produces. Propino is a relatively new variety that is used mainly by brewers but is also being used in increasing amounts by distillers as well.

Every year we are audited by Scottish Quality Cereals to certify that we maintain high standards of crop husbandry and that all crops are processed and stored in good conditions, thus ensuring that a high quality traceable product is delivered to the end user.
